This sensor measures hydraulic brake pressure and is used by stability control and brake assist systems.   1. Read all chassis and ABS codes and record freeze-frame data to see brake pressure, vehicle speed, and switch states at the time of the fault.
  2. Inspect the brake pressure sensor connector for corrosion, bent pins, and moisture; check harness routing for chafing near the master cylinder or ABS unit.
  3. With a scan tool, observe live brake pressure sensor voltage while applying and releasing the pedal; compare to a known-good reading and verify smooth, proportional response.
  4. Back-probe the sensor to confirm a stable 5V reference, good low-reference ground, and a signal voltage that changes smoothly with pedal pressure.
  5. Verify brake fluid condition and level; bleed the system if air is suspected, then recheck sensor response.
  6. If wiring, fluid, and sensor signal are all verified correct but the code returns, the brake control module may be at fault — confirm with manufacturer pin-point tests before replacement.
