Factory specifications, fluid capacities, torque values, EPA fuel economy and the federal safety record for the 1975 E-150 Econoline.
The 1975 Ford E-150 Econoline overview establishes this vehicle through an exceptionally sparse record of driver dissatisfaction, logging just a single complaint directed at the steering alongside four official recalls. Weaving these metrics together reveals a model that, despite requiring several formal factory corrections, experienced virtually no persistent owner-reported grievances. Consequently, this model year occupies a highly favorable position within the Econoline's reliability history, meaning that while the four recalls indicate initial factory oversights, the solitary steering complaint confirms the vehicle largely avoided the chronic mechanical faults that typically define less dependable entries.
Owner-reported issues, recalls, investigations and service bulletins on record with NHTSA — an unfiltered look at what owners actually experience.
Owner complaints about the 1975 Ford E-150 Econoline dominate in one area — the steering, 1 of 1 reports (100%), well ahead of the next concern. None of this vehicle's 4 recall campaigns target the steering, so those reports read as owner-reported wear-and-tear rather than an acknowledged defect. 0 of the reports describe a crash and 0 a fire — a small share of the total, but worth weighing against the steering pattern above. These are tallies of what owners actually reported to the federal government, not an editorial score — and higher-selling models naturally rack up more reports.
