2006 Chrysler Pacifica

The 2006 Chrysler Pacifica sits on the downward slope of its generation’s federal complaint curve, with 726 complaints representing a meaningful decline from the 2004–2005 peak of 896 and 1,244 complaints, yet remaining well above the 102 complaints recorded by the final 2008 model year. Federal recalls also eased during this period, dropping from two in both 2004 and 2005 to just one in 2006, while investigations fell from five to four and technical service bulletins decreased from 92 to 57, suggesting the model was maturing past its most troubled early production years. Still, the 2006 model generated substantial owner reports, including 20 crash-related complaints and 7 fire complaints, with the highest volumes concentrated in structure, engine and engine cooling, and power train. Relative to the years immediately following, 2006 represents a transitional midpoint, carrying more federal activity than 2007 or 2008 but significantly less than the peak-trouble 2005 model.
