Factory specifications, fluid capacities, torque values, EPA fuel economy and the federal safety record for the 1982 Cutlass Supreme.
The 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme registers just one owner complaint and two recalls in this dataset, with the sole reported concern filed under seat belts. Measured against the model’s available complaint history from 1990 to 1996—where complaints bottomed out at 90 in 1995 and reached 252 in 1994—the 1982 model’s single complaint places it at the low end of the documented spectrum. That makes this model year one of the least-reported trouble entries in the surveyed Cutlass Supreme history, though the comparison window begins eight years after 1982.

Owner-reported issues, recalls, investigations and service bulletins on record with NHTSA — an unfiltered look at what owners actually experience.
The JSON supplies federal complaint/recall figures only for model years 1990 through 1996. No data are listed for 1982 or for any years preceding 1990, so the target year cannot be positioned within the shown trend. Consequently, we cannot observe whether complaints, recalls, investigations, or TSBs were rising, falling, or stable leading into or out of 1982. Without comparative numbers, any statement about the relative reliability of the 1982 Cutlass Supreme would be speculative. Therefore, based solely on the information provided, there is insufficient evidence to judge whether 1982 is a good year to purchase a used Cutlass Supreme.
