1978 Honda Accord

Factory specifications, fluid capacities, torque values, EPA fuel economy and the federal safety record for the 1978 Accord.

The 1978 Honda Accord, as the first-generation model that established the nameplate, is not represented in the complaint history dataset, which covers only model years 1990 through 2022. Within that span, the highest number of complaints occurred in 2003 (2,013) and the lowest in 2022 (213), but these figures offer no direct insight into the 1978 model’s reliability. Consequently, any assessment of the 1978 Accord’s dependability must rely on sources outside this complaint record, as the vehicle predates the earliest data point by over a decade.
