1977 Chevrolet C20

Factory specifications, fluid capacities, torque values, EPA fuel economy and the federal safety record for the 1977 C20.

The 1977 Chevrolet C20 anchors the front of a reliability record documented through owner complaints logged between 1990 and 2001, a twelve-year window that captures how the model was experienced in its later years on the road. Within that period, complaint volume varied sharply, reaching a high of 19 reports in 1993 and falling to a low of just 2 in 1992, a near-tenfold swing that points to uneven ownership experiences across the documented span. Positioned at the start of this complaint history, the 1977 model year serves as a useful baseline for researchers tracking how issues evolved through the 1990s, with the data indicating that reported problems were concentrated in the early part of the recorded period rather than distributed evenly across the years covered.
